SOIL STORIES: Stories on Ecoystem Restoration in the Philippines
January 15 @ 3:00 am – 12:30 pm

2021 marks the beginning of the UN Decade for Ecosystem Restoration, a call for commitment and action for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world. With healthy ecosystems, we can meet the goals that benefit the people’s survival, well-being, livelihood, and climate resilience.
Salaysay sa Yuta (Soil Stories and Dialogues) is a series of activities activating the beginnings of the UN Decade for Ecosystem Restoration with stories by local actors, movements, and initiatives working towards ecosystem restoration through organic and regenerative agriculture, permaculture, agroforestry, biodiversity conservation, ecotourism, social enterprises, regenerative businesses, and good governance. These are embedded in ways that engage communities, enterprises, governments, and the natural ecosystem.
This dialogue is part of a larger discussion and consultation series on how we can use a landscape approach from ridge to reef in designing regenerative ecosystems for the Philippines to address our increasing climate vulnerability while meeting our needs for food and economic recovery during the pandemic. We hope you can join us!
The event is composed of:
1. FIlm and Video Features (Jan 15-18 every 3 pm UTC + 8 on Facebook Live or specific platforms) featuring
2. Dialogue Circles on Restoring Ecosystems (January 19, 10-11:30 am UTC + 😎 featuring international and local experts and practitioners on ecosystem restoration.
